During this week Diana and Kelly did some space planning, color consultation and interior decorating on a kitchen project for a client in Charlottesville. They spent a bit of time putting together a presentation for the Charlottesville Business Exchange Group (CBE) and did the actual presentation.
Diana & Brian got caught up in the bank robbery a block down from the office coming back from breakfast on Friday at Cafe Cubano on the Downtown Mall. This was to unreal. The cops swarmed in and were hiding behind those big metal flower pots holding out loaded guns. Not only did we and about 50 other people not back up but rather walked forward to get closer to the action, Unknowing mothers were just passing by with the baby strollers or dogs not even noticing three armed uniform officers with guns pointing at the front door of the bank. They eventually broke the glass to the front door and dragged the man out. He was well dressed, better then I which is inspiring my “Dress Like a Bank Robber Collection” for fall of 2007. The short of it is we made a great business contact in the crowd!
Brian continued on with the archway containing two hidden chambers on our full room library project. The archway is three feet deep to hide the HVAC (mechanical equipment). We now have to build the inside panels that will be jibbed doors they we can prep and paint!
