Ferry Staverman has created exquisite sculptures using a type of layered cardboard (which uses recycled cardboard, yay!) called Bee Board. The designer also has created a line of tree sculptures. They’re incredibly intricate and beautiful and hopefully they’re available in the States somewhere. Let me know if you find them anywhere!

I was in a frame shop today, saw these frames and instantly fell in love. Laville is the original maker of reclaimed wood frames and mirrors, using architectural pieces from Southern ruins to make them. They’re elegant yet rustic and are sure to fit in nicely in any home.

This chair is an award winning design made from bent birch and a steel frame. Other designs from this studio include a chair similar to this one made out vinyl billboards and one made out of cashmere. The shape is organic and warm and it actually looks comfortable.

Nathalie Dewez designs lighting that is not much more than wires and lights, but the effect of her pieces are absolutely stunning. Well thought out and executed, her lighting sculptures are not just another light fixture but a piece of art.

Dutch designer Wendy Plomp has finally seen some use for old pizza boxes besides recycling and hitch-hiker signage. Wendy believes that by printing a beautiful pattern on the inside of a used box you can create your own temporary space. She calls her creations “Message on a Box”.
