Ferry Staverman has created exquisite sculptures using a type of layered cardboard (which uses recycled cardboard, yay!) called Bee Board. The designer also has created a line of tree sculptures. They’re incredibly intricate and beautiful and hopefully they’re available in the States somewhere. Let me know if you find them anywhere!

I’m lovin’ the modern designs made by Autoban. They’re totally modern and make you look twice…there’s something not quite normal about them, but in the end that’s what you appreciate about them. I’m really enjoying the mushroom-esque stools. They’re so completely different from any stools I’ve seen before and are much more inviting than your standard bar seat. I also really like this one armed chair. Just something a little different, that you can help but to look cool sitting in.

Feinedinge is an Austrian company that hand makes beautiful, delicate pieces of pottery. Feinedinge is available in the States at Olio United.

Liz Kinder is an alumna of London’s Royal College of Art where she studied ceramics and has since returned to the States (lucky for us!) to make her pieces in her Philadelphia studio. Kinder enjoys glazing and sees the color on her simple bowls as one of the signatures of her work. Her bowls are bright, yet classic and would be a great addition in your home. Unison is a company creating sheets, pillows, table linens and other fabric accessories for your home featuring simple, modern designs that are elegant. Two Finnish designers moved stateside to share their creations with us and I’m certainly glad they did. Check it all out, including their organic bedding.

I was in a frame shop today, saw these frames and instantly fell in love. Laville is the original maker of reclaimed wood frames and mirrors, using architectural pieces from Southern ruins to make them. They’re elegant yet rustic and are sure to fit in nicely in any home.

It’s cold here and even colder in Minnesota (where I spent half of last week), and I’ve already got spring on my mind. That must be why I picked these butterfly lamp by John Derian, NY and available at Lille in Chicago.

WRLDs is a Seattle based company that takes all the numbers and code data from technology companies and realizes them into visual forms. Once made into a 3d objects they form into stunning sculptures. Explore a whole new WRLDs.

This chair is an award winning design made from bent birch and a steel frame. Other designs from this studio include a chair similar to this one made out vinyl billboards and one made out of cashmere. The shape is organic and warm and it actually looks comfortable.

Nathalie Dewez designs lighting that is not much more than wires and lights, but the effect of her pieces are absolutely stunning. Well thought out and executed, her lighting sculptures are not just another light fixture but a piece of art.

Dutch designer Wendy Plomp has finally seen some use for old pizza boxes besides recycling and hitch-hiker signage. Wendy believes that by printing a beautiful pattern on the inside of a used box you can create your own temporary space. She calls her creations “Message on a Box”.
